Courtney is a marketing and brand relations professional with over a decade of experience in beauty, entertainment and lifestyle industries. Her mentor, Susan L. Taylor, Editor-in-Chief Emeritus of ESSENCE Magazine personally taught her that when passion fuels creativity, it is the one true source that can spark & harness the energy to do the impossible. Courtney finds the most passion in helping brands do just that — explore, tap into and convert the energy of impossible to possible.
As someone who has had the fortune of working with some of the world’s leading brands including Lush Cosmetics, AMC Networks and the NBA, Courtney’s proven strengths in producing effective brand campaigns, media engaged events and thoughtful strategies have allowed the companies she serves to outshine their competition. Her passion for entertainment, beauty, fashion and philanthropy are evident throughout the work she produces and reflects who she is at her core.
Courtney graduated with a Master of Arts in Mass Communication & Media Studies and a Professional Certificate in Entrepreneurship from the prestigious Howard University. Her bachelor’s degree is in Education and Theater. She is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., the American Marketing Association, the T. Howard Foundation, the National Association for Multi-Ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC), the Women in Entertainment Empowerment Network (WEEN) and the Alliance for Women in Media.
Apart from helping brands create magic, Courtney enjoys music, pop culture, traveling, brunching with friends, volunteering at the ASPCA and mentoring young people.
